With the generous support of eCampus Ontario, HLLR, and the Ontario Colleges Library Services (OCLS), Heads of Libraries and Learning Resources (HLLR) is pleased to offer an opportunity to spend a day dedicated to Open Learning. With thanks to Ryerson and eCampus Ontario for getting things rolling with the March 30th event, we look forward to continuing the OER conversations with great colleagues from College and University Libraries.
This webinar, facilitated by Scholars Portal, is designed to raise awareness about university and college library OER projects across Ontario, and to share information from colleagues in British Columbia. It will include:
eCampusOntario is hosting the first Open Education Ontario summit to build local capacity, to show opportunities for open pedagogy and to showcase local open education projects and practices.
OCLS will once again be hosting a breakfast during the OLA Super Conference. The breakfast will take place on Friday February 3rd, starting at 7:30 a.m.
Please put this date in your calendar if you are planning to attend the conference. Also, please tell all college library staff who will be attending the conference that they are welcome to attend the breakfast.
Updates on key collaborative projects between HLLR and OCLS will be presented. We will forward specific details to HLLR members and will request an RSVP at that time.
"Advancing Learning has been the province’s premiere instructional technology conference since the 1990s. We’ve prided ourselves in fostering an environment where educators (faculty, instructional designers, multimedia and graphic specialists) share their direct classroom and faculty support experiences with other colleagues."
